If you are able to launch ARD, everything is set up. (Windows 7, Window 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, OS X 10.9, 10.10, 10.11) Even one of the workstations can work as a CodeMeter server, you only need to keep it running during the work hours. Any computer that has recent Windows or OS X versions is capable to act as CodeMeter server.
There is no need for server level operating system for the CodeMeter server.
